A True Multidisciplinary Experience
-
Participate in the process of psychological assessment, learning to administer and interpret a variety of tests that help diagnose and inform treatment planning. This experience will deepen your understanding of the diagnostic process and the role of evaluations in comprehensive care.
-
Shadow our psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to observe the integration of medication management with psychotherapy and other interventions. You'll gain a better understanding of psychopharmacology and the collaborative approach needed when working with clients who benefit from psychiatric care.
-
Gain insight into how occupational therapy can support mental health, particularly in the areas of sensory integration, life skills development, and holistic wellness. You'll learn how OT practitioners work alongside mental health professionals to enhance client outcomes.
-
Experience a range of therapeutic approaches, including child-centered play therapy, DBT, CBT, EMDR, and more. You'll work with individuals, couples, families, and groups, developing a diverse skill set that prepares you for a wide variety of clinical scenarios.
Our Training Philosophy:
We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Our training program offers you the opportunity to engage directly with clients, under the close supervision of experienced clinicians. You will be challenged to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world situations, developing critical thinking and clinical judgment along the way.
Our approach is grounded in the principles of trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, and culturally sensitive care. We understand that each client is unique, and we emphasize the importance of tailoring interventions to meet the individual needs of those we serve.
