“We rise by lifting others” is a quote that aligns with my personal values and ethics. Social work and mental health care are my passions and I believe all individuals deserve the right to live a happy, fulfilled life.
My practice is devoted to supporting children, teens, parents, couples, and young adults in creating a life they find meaningful and can thrive in. My style is warm, and building a strong and trusting relationship will be essential in our work together. I strive to appreciate and understand you or your child’s unique story and struggles, offer insights on issues that might be beyond your awareness, and share adaptive tools in managing your life’s challenges.
I strive to make you feel understood and safe. Together, we will navigate your life’s complexities through curiosity, exploration, and reflection, while developing adaptive tools to create lasting change. I look forward to exploring you or your child’s challenges with you, and witnessing greater self-understanding, purpose, and personal growth.
I utilize a strength based approach in my practice. I believe in the importance of a healthy relationship between parents and children and between couples and find trauma informed attachment based interventions effective in my practice.
My roles at Mala consist of providing care to individual and family clients, and providing training and supervision to pre and post-graduate social work fellows.

Growing up, my family couldn't afford health insurance, let alone regular doctor visits. Mental health treatment was simply out of reach. Despite these challenges, my interest in psychology, our brains, and mental health only grew. This experience fueled my passion for ensuring that everyone has access to mental health care. I'm driven to create more accessible treatment options for all, inspired by my own journey and the countless others facing similar barriers.
Additionally, I am neurodivergent. I received this diagnosis later in life and it is important to me to advocate and support others who have similar experiences.

There is something so undeniably beautiful and raw about being able to bear witness to another human. For me, forging connections and delving into someone's experiences, fears, and vulnerabilities is deeply fulfilling. It is one of the greatest privileges to be entrusted with the stories, suffering, and struggles of others. Therapy is truly powerful and transformative, but it takes so much courage and strength to show up for yourself week after week. Every individual who walks into my office embodies courage and resilience, and I truly think this is the coolest job ever.

The dynamics of each client and session are incredibly diverse, and I firmly believe in allowing my clients to guide the process, as they are the true experts in their own lives. Research tells us the most important indicator of change in therapy is the relationship between the therapist and patient. To me, the most important part of therapy is creating a sense of safety. Think of me as the supportive cheerleader on the sidelines, there to encourage, empower, and understand. I strive to offer honest feedback and reflection with compassion, recognizing the importance of trauma-informed and attachment-oriented approaches. I believe in more holistic approaches, so I like to incorporate different modalities and interventions as different topics or events arise.

Being a teenager was the best and worst experience of my life. It is also one of my favorite age groups to work with. I can appreciate how emotionally charged that time in life can be, and how hard and scary it can feel to trust others.
