ViewFest: Mental Health Walk and Celebration

Hosted at the Detroit Zoo, ViewFest is s powerful and uplifting community event for mental health and wellness that allows individuals and organizations to unite and share their views, stories, experiences & resources – all within a vibrant festival environment. The event begins with a reflective group stroll through the zoo, setting the stage for a day filled with access to mental health and wellness resources, live music, snacks, and a variety of activities for all ages.

NAMI Michigan Honors Gala

Held at the Henry Hotel, the NAMI Gala (National Alliance on Mental Illness Gala) is a prestigious black-tie event dedicated to honoring the outstanding contributions of Michigan's mental healthcare professionals. This annual celebration brings together leaders, advocates, and supporters from across the state to acknowledge and commend those who have made significant impacts in the field of mental health.

We are incredibly proud to share that our founder and owner, Dr. Hasti Raveau, was distinguished with the esteemed Clinical Professional of the Year award. This recognition celebrates Dr. Raveau’s exceptional dedication, innovative work, and unwavering commitment to advancing mental healthcare. The event was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow professionals and celebrate the collective efforts of those who strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families across Michigan.

Social Work Practicum Graduation Celebration: Class of 2024

A Mala hosted event celebrating the University of Michigan’s Social Work Practicum students as they wrapped up their practicum experience with us and graduated as the Class of 2024. This special celebration was designed to honor the hard work and dedication of these emerging social work professionals. DIWA Women’s Empowerment Event

Mala Child & Family Institute was proud to sponsor the Detroit Indian Women’s Association (DIWA) Annual Women Empowerment Event, dedicated to inspiring and uplifting women in the metro Detroit area. DIWA, an all-volunteer organization, provides platforms for women to develop their talents through self-development, leadership, and networking.
