Psychologist

Farmington Hills & Online

Hi, I'm Nina, and I'm so glad you're here! As a school psychologist and a current doctoral candidate in counseling psychology at Wayne State University, I bring a deep passion for helping others navigate their unique challenges. I began my journey with a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Michigan State University, and I've since developed a special focus on working with LGBTQ+ individuals, those dealing with eating disorders, and neurodivergent populations. Many of my clients tend to struggle with longstanding anxiety, family dynamic challenges, impulse control difficulties, low self-esteem, and issues with distress tolerance.

Creating a safe, non-judgmental, and welcoming environment is at the heart of my practice. I treat eating disorders with a Health at Every Size approach, which allows me to support my clients in a way that honors their individual experiences and fosters true healing. I also enjoy collaborating with other providers, such as dietitians, and occupational therapists, and psychiatrists to best support my clients who struggle with eating challenges.

I believe that therapy should be as unique as you are, so I draw from various therapeutic approaches, including Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to best meet your needs. I love to utilize art and games when working with youth to help them practice and master new skills we are working on together.

In addition to psychotherapy services, I specialize in comprehensive psychological evaluations and school advocacy services. As a national certified school psychologist who has had hands on experience working in various school systems, I love helping students better understand how their brain works and improve their learning experiences in academic settings.

I'm here to support you on your journey, and I look forward to working together to help you find the path that's right for you.

  • “You’ve survived 100% of your hardest days.”

  • I’ve always known I wanted to help people in some capacity, it just took me some time to figure out how to do that. I want to normalize mental health and increase access to receiving treatment for mental health struggles. My goal is to reduce the stigma of asking for help, and guide individuals along the process of receiving help in a safe environment.
